Signs Your Lot Is Ready for Clearing
A wooded lot rarely gets easier to clear with time. Saplings turn into trees with bigger root balls, privet and briars thicken, and every month of waiting pushes your build date back. These are the usual signs it’s time to call:
- You’ve closed on the lot and your builder or surveyor needs to see the ground.
- You have a plot plan, and the house footprint or driveway runs through standing trees.
- Your surveyor can’t find or reach the property corners through the brush.
- A perc test or septic evaluation is scheduled and the inspector needs access.
- Leaning or dead trees near the building area need to come down before work starts.
- You’re listing the lot for sale and want buyers to see a homesite, not a thicket.
